I have a following batch file that runs on startup
But now in Windows 10 log file simply has the following
So i have read. If possible choose one that has not windows 8 or 10 installed because they are more likely to cause issues than the ones with older windows versions or no OS at all. If i buy the last 2 laptops that have 8 and 12 gb of ram i can use the windows 10 OS it comes with plus another OS like tails! Serving up high quality Fairy Tail wallpapers and a color scheme change make up this Fairy Tail Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 Theme Pack download for your desktop.
Windows Update logs are now generated using ETW (Event Tracing for Windows). Please run the Get-WindowsUpdateLog PowerShell command to convert ETW traces into a readable WindowsUpdate.log.
so I ran the command in powershell >
Get-WindowsUpdateLog and it converted the logs to a .log file and saved it on my desktop
It's a static file so defeats the purpose of me tailing it while it's running updates.
Questions
How do I tail Windows 10 Update Log or it's not possible anymore?
Problem X
I have 200+ VMs that i don't power on all the time. So i am working on a batch file that does 'windows update' on Login, after the update now command i have it open the log file so i can keep an eye on it where we stand
ultimate goal is to act based on some entries in the log file and make decisions like reboot shutdown etc right away rather than prompting the user or waiting. so if there are more pending updates reboot and then install the remaining, on second attempt shutdown when no more updates

Tails helps you to:
Tails is a live system that aims to preserve your privacy and anonymity. It helps you to use the Internet anonymously and circumvent censorship almost anywhere you go and on any computer but leaving no trace unless you ask it to explicitly.
It is a complete operating system designed to be used from a DVD, USB stick, or SD card independently of the computer's original operating system.
Tails comes with several built-in applications pre-configured with security in mind: web browser, instant messaging client, email client, office suite, image and sound editor, etc.
If you are interested in giving Tails a try on your current computer without running any risk, please check out our Guide: Running Linux From a USB Drive As a Virtual Machine or Bootable Disk.
Online anonymity and censorship circumvention with Tor
Tails relies on the Tor anonymity network to protect your privacy online:
Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.
Tor protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, and it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location.
Using Tor you can:

You can install these applications again using the Additional Software feature. Thanks to the removal of these less popular applications 3.14 and the removal of some language packs in 3.13.2, Tails 3.14 is 39 MB smaller than 3.13.

New Installation Methods
The biggest news for 3.12 is that we completely changed the installation methods for Tails.
In short, instead of downloading an ISO image (a format originally designed for CDs), you now download Tails as a USB image: an image of the data as it needs to be written to the USB stick.
We are still providing ISO images for people using DVDs or virtual machines. The methods for upgrading Tails remain the same.

We are especially proud to present you Tails 3.0, the first version of Tails based on Debian 9 (Stretch). It brings a completely new startup and shutdown experience, a lot of polishing to the desktop, security improvements in depth, and major upgrades to a lot of the included software.
Debian 9 (Stretch) will be released on June 17. It is the first time that we are releasing a new version of Tails almost at the same time as the version of Debian it is based upon. This was an important objective for us as it is beneficial to both our users and users of Debian in general and strengthens our relationship with upstream:

This release also fixes many security issues and users should upgrade as soon as possible.
New startup and shutdown experience
This has been a long process, started three years ago with the UX team of NUMA Paris and lead only by volunteers. Join us on [email protected] to participate in future designs.
The shutdown experience has also been redesigned in order to be:
Technically speaking, it is now using the freed memory poisoning feature of the Linux kernel.
Polishing the desktop
We switched to the default black theme of GNOME which has a more modern and discrete look:
